Emirates is resuming operations of its Airbus A380s on flights to major cities including London, Amsterdam and Paris.
Emirates has redeployed the Airbus A380 on its daily flights between Dubai and London Heathrow. From 1 August, Emirates will redeploy the A380 on its daily service to and from Amsterdam. Furthermore, a second daily A380 service to London Heathrow will then take off. The announcement follows the Emirates A380s’ return to the skies on 15 July. The aircraft then flew flights #EK001 and #EK073 between Dubai to London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle. In Paris, the A380 received a special welcome upon arrival, as it became the first (and only) scheduled commercial A380 flight to operate at the airport since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Emirates last week also restarted scheduled passenger services to Athens, Barcelona, Brussels, Geneva, Glasgow, Larnaca, Malé, Munich, Rome and Washington DC. With these additional flight services, the airline now serves over 50 destinations worldwide.
