Breaking: SpaceX just performed a successful 150 meter hop flight with its SN5 Starship prototype.
After a number of aborted attempts, SpaceX today successfully performed a 150 meter hop flight with the Starship SN5 prototype. The success marks a major milestone in the company’s efforts to build the largest spacecraft ever created, which is set to eventually get humans to Mars.
As can be seen in the footage below, the SN5 is launched up in the air by its Raptor SN27 engine, after which it manages to successfully land again in the midst of all the dust.
