158 passengers flying from Nice to Oslo with Scandinavian airline SAS came home to an unpleasant surprise Friday night. Since their flight landed one minute “late” at Oslo Airport, all passengers are now required to be quarantined.

The Norwegian government decided last week to sharpen travel restrictions for among others France. From August 8, all passengers travelling from this country to Norway are required to quarantine for ten days. Flight SK4700 landed at Oslo Airport at exactly 00:01, one minute after the measures took effect.

According to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, the passengers still had hope for a good outcome during landing. The pilot was even applauded when he landed the plane on Norwegian soil at midnight. Later it turned out that the aircraft had landed just after midnight. Although local authorities still had to confer, they were unrelenting: all passengers had to be quarantined.
