LATAM Airlines Brazil and Azul Airlines today started their codeshare agreement, starting with 64 domestic routes in Brazil. Loyalty programmes have also been connected.
LATAM passengers can now buy tickets for 23 routes that are being flown by Azul Airlines. Vice versa, Azul’s customers can purchase tickets for 12 routes that are being operated by LATAM. Up to the end of August, the airlines will start sales on another 29 routes.
The codeshare routes are directed to and from the airports of Brasília (BSB), Belo Horizonte (CNF), Recife (REC) and Campinas (VCP) with access to destinations across Brazil, the airlines said. Furthermore, the loyalty programs (TudoAzul and Latam Pass) will also be merged, so that points can be saved at both companies. This merger will unite TudoAzul’s 12 million members and Latam Pass’ 37 million members.
