A KLM flight from Rome Fiumicino to Amsterdam was diverted Sunday night due to thunderstorms above Amsterdam.
Flight KL1604 diverted to Groningen Airport Eelde, in the north of the Netherlands, Sunday night after three landing attempts at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Due to thunderstorms and bad weather in the area, the aircraft was unable to land. The KLM 737 is being refueled and will fly to Amsterdam when weather conditions improve.
