A U.S. Marine Corps F-35 crashed on Tuesday after colliding with a C-130 “Hercules” refuelling aircraft.
According to various media reports, the F-35 hit one of the wings of the Hercules. After the collision, the pilots of the Hercules were able to make a safe landing and suffered no injuries. The pilot of the F-35 was forced to use his ejection seat and is currently being treated for some of the injuries sustained as a result of this.
In a statement, the U.S. Marine Corps confirmed the incident. Nothing has yet been made public regarding possible causes.
