Last month, a 33-year-old JetBlue pilot was arrested at Boston Logan Airport, USA. This Friday, the man committed suicide and took his own life.
Authorities arrested Jeremy Gudorf on February 20 prior to an intercontinental JetBlue flight. The arrest based on charges of sexual abuse of a minor. Pending the treatment of his criminal case, the court released the A321neo pilot. The court did so on the condition of depositing a $10,000 bail with the court. He was to report to state of North Carolina, where the alleged crime was committed, a few days later to start the case.
Although Gudorf’s lawyer assured the court that he could drive to the state by car, he did not show up. Police labeled the suspect a fugitive and launched a search for the pilot, who was reportedly residing in the state of Massachusetts. Authorities saw him in his car on Friday, March 7. When they tried to arrest him a second time, he pulled out a gun and committed suicide. Although police tried to resuscitate Gudorf, doctors declared him dead at the hospital.
