During our road-trip through Switzerland we met up with our good friend Maurits (#2) in Locarno. He works as a flight instructor in one of the most scenic areas in the world, and took us up for a flight in the beautiful Diamond DA-40! For many, the Boeing Stearman is a personal favorite. With it’s beautiful radial engine and bulky stacked wings, we can all recognize this classic aircraft from miles away. During our trip in South Africa I had the incredible opportunity to join Ivan, a very skilled aerobaitcs pilot, on a short flip in his beautifully restored aircraft. From Barrel rolls to Barn storming, he showed me it all! I can’t wait to one day pilot one of these historic machines myself.
